Fair warning: This is gonna be a long post. Like... Really long.
Hi! My name is Barry Allen. One of two currently in town. On the loveboard I'm AdoraBarry Allen. That helps more in conversation and on the loveboard, I guess? Anyway, I wanted to give just a general town-wide welcome to town explanation type thing for anyone new to town. Contract signed or fluxed. More leaning toward the fluxed in types, though since you should have a bit more of an idea of what you're signing up for when you come here of your own free will?
Right! Anyway! Welcome to New Dodge! On behalf of the entire town council, I really hope you enjoy your time here, and for those who fluxed, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It will take about six months before we find specifically where your original world is. Don't worry, though, it is currently in a state of stasis based on the exact moment you left. So you'll be able to go back right to that very moment once we do find your world. But the good news is that if there's someone you know from your world they might have their near identical version of their world found if you need anything? Maybe with more or less exposure to what you've experienced. That's... That's all kinds of confusing, though, and really hard to explain. And... Probably for another day.
Anyway! Uhm. New Dodge can be a bit tough to get used to. There's a lot I can explain but it won't make sense until you're living through it? Easiest stuff to explain off the bat is that the town has definitely been through a lot. Like... We have things that seem to crop up yearly. Sometimes kids from the future of New Dodge come to visit, the world goes to hell at least quarterly, it seems, and there's like little mini inconvenience things sprinkled in? Like... Aging up or down, ghost moon is kind of something that falls into that... Uh... Kind of limitless. And potentially weird?
With all of that experience the town's been through, the people of the town have varying reactions to it at this point. Some are heroes back home, or anti-heroes, or general helpers? For either selfish or selfless means? Doesn't mean they're bad people if it's the selfish means, though. Massive don't judge a book by it's cover thing. With the people, though, there's varying degrees of 'been there done that' types of reactions, too. Some have been here for a couple months, others couple years, some have been here even longer.
I know my explaining the town isn't the most... clear, necessarily? I tend to ramble. But we're all willing to help. More than willing to help. All you need to do it reach out. I figure the heads of the more prominent parts of town can reply to this to explain their roles and stuff too, if they want? Makes things easier for people to know who might be easier to approach for questions.
